What type of books do you edit?

I edit a wide range of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, and more. I am experienced in various subject matters and writing styles.

How long does the editing process take?

The editing process timeline varies depending on the manuscript's length and complexity. I work efficiently while ensuring high-quality results and will provide an estimate after reviewing your project.

Do you offer a book coaching service?

Yes. I offer book coaching to suit your timeline. I will collaborate with you to create a book based on your ideas, ensuring the final product aligns with your vision and style. 

Do you offer ghost writing services?

At the moment, I do not offer myself as a ghost writer but I outsource to experienced ghost writing services.

How much can I expect to pay for coaching and editing services?

Pricing is individual depending on what is required.

There are different types of editing:

Proof reading for typos.

Line and copying edting (which includes proof reading) for spelling, grammar and punctuation plus flagging up inconsistencies.

Developmental editing (which includes proof reading plus line and copy editing) for character development and looking at the 'big' picture.

And then there's book coaching (which includes support materials) to guide authors.

Each of the above depends on the word count of your manuscript.

I was fortunate indeed that Joan agreed to edit my book. She made an extremely thorough job of checking every bit of text and, rather like a walking thesaurus, she was happy to discuss alternative ideas and query any specific jargon. Throughout the process, she kept me informed of progress with frequent updates which were both informative and cheerful. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, she was always available to answer my frequent questions by text or by Zoom and her interest and support extended beyond the editing until well after the publication of my book.
